So, the husband got hit in the new round-a-bout. I think if the state decides they are going to remove ALL of the town’s stoplights and replace them with round-a-bouts, they should give the townfolk lessons on how to use them. Seriously, some people just flat out don’t know.
This poor eighty year old woman was driving through town the other day and she pulled over at the gas station and asked me how to use the round-a-bout. She got to it, and didn’t know what to do, and everyone was honking at her, and she started crying and pulled into the gas station.
Anyway, AK got hit today. Thank goodness he is OK, but the car – which we had finally found a buyer for – is smashed. He messed up his neck pretty bad, so he is on two different medications. This means he can’t drive. Considering we live at least an hour from the nearest hospital – this is a wee bit of a problem. Especially if the pickle decides to make an appearance in the next few days, when the only other driver I have is out of town. To make matters worst, she is out of town and the airline went bankrupt so she will be four days late. What are the odds?????
The woman who hit him was nice, and sorry – and her insurance company already processed the claim, so the car will be fixed in no time at all. But, how do I get to the hospital?
How does that work? Can I call the sheriff’s office for a ride? I would feel silly calling an ambulance. But, I don’t feel like having my baby on the side of the road either. Poor kid. I beg it everyday to come out, and now I tell it to stay – it is going to have I-can’t-ever-please-my-damn-mother issues and it’s not even here yet. Geez.
On a satisfied and a-good-meal-will-cure-any-woe note. I made Turkey and Blue Cheese Salad tonight – and it is highly recommended.
